FilmEU Summit 2024 was a success!

Relive the 4th FilmEU Summit, held from June 3 to June 6 with our official aftermovie. VŠMU in Bratislava (Slovakia) hosted this four-day event filled with keynote and work package presentations, student film screenings and a conference on VFX.

   
   
   

FilmEU Leadership Statement

The FilmEU leadership agreed during the summit on a common statement about working closely with our national quality agencies in order to advance the ongoing transformational process the European Universities initiative entails. The European Education Area – and our alliance – ultimately supports increased mobility and includes a vision for better teaching and learning along with stronger research and innovation.

   
   
   

FilmEU_RIT research pilots concluded during final summit in Tallinn

In April, Tallinn University hosted the third and last FilmEU_RIT Summit, featuring a special conference on neurocinematics organised by the Artistic Research and Cognitive Film Studies pilot project. 


Other highlights were the final presentations of the research pilots and PhD candidates presenting their work, receiving valuable feedback from other scholars. With over 100 international guests from 20 countries, the summit was a global forum for cutting-edge film and media research. 


 We are in the final phase of the FilmEU_RIT project which concludes at the end of August.

Project finalised during the conference a blueprint for a European degree.


Together with around 1,000 higher education institutions and representatives from EU member states, we convened in Brussels to call for the implementation of a European degree.

FOR-EU4All: Unifying European Universities Alliances


The European Universities alliances are launching FOR-EU4All, a project uniting over 60 current and future alliances. Aiming to foster collaboration and share best practices within the European Higher Education sector, the project will formalise and scale up the existing FORum of European Universities (FOR-EU) network.


   

Kick-off of our two new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees in October 2024


Last year we shared the good news of the acceptance of our two new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master degrees (EMJMD) in game design (REPLAY) and European Film Heritage, History and Cultures (FilmMemory).
